A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (all the way across the pond in West Yorkshire, England) some clever outdoor types said "Let's make some clothing that can withstand really nasty weather and then let's prove it by climbing the tallest mountain in the world." Since that day, we've never stayed in one place long enough to make a cup of tea. We've happily traded a carbon footprint for a muddy trail to nowhere. While doing what we do best - trekking through this big beautiful world testing our clothes in every weather condition imaginable - we've become Britain's leading authority in travel and adventure clothing.

How did it all happen? We'd like to think that we're all geniuses, but truthfully we just work hard.

We constantly improve our products through extensive research. We always use the most advanced fabric technology on the planet. This helps us create and produce the most comfortable and protective clothing. We also incorporate the very latest technical features into every garment without dipping into what we call "feature overkill." Quite simply, we make classically British travel and adventure clothing you can rely on. Clothing that simply works for you, unfailingly. Put it on and you can almost forget about it. It's that reliable.

In today's world it's a tough time to be what we call a "man's man." This rugged nomad is a dying breed,quickly being replaced by she-men who get manicures. Does a man who'd rather use his bare hands to kill his dinner have time to obsess about his cuticles? We created the Bear Grylls Survival Range for this type of alpha male, (Of course, we haven't forgotten alpha kids and women.) Like Bear, he aspires to be a wild-eyed adventurer. He craves danger and may even enjoy the occasional dance at death's door. With this in mind, he'd rather not have to worry about little niggles like frost bite, heat stroke and mosquito-induced malaria.

Our last little achievement was packing in loads of features while making sure all the gear stayed super-light and super-dry. We're quite proud of all these technical features, but when the adrenaline rush is over or perhaps when it's not as apparent - like at dinner parties, for example - let's not forget that the clothes also look rather stylish.
